Training :

Specializes in the sphere of Maritime Core and Specialized English , Military and Naval English constantly developing and updating teaching and testing materials . Participates in the development of English language curricula and materials for training both future deck and Navy officers. In recent years designs resources for the specialties “ Inland Waterway Navigation ” and “ Logistics ”. Reads lectures on Shipping at the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers accredited Distance Learning Centre, which is a n integral part of the Naval Academy.

- 2001-2002 – participation in the national STANAG 6001 Testing System as a regional Testing Board Member.

- 2003-2004 - national STANAG 6001 Test Development Team Member.

- 2004-2006 – participation in the Peacekeeping English Project managed by the British Council on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. She was involved in developing new teaching resources on BDFL Video Materials and Human Rights Education . Meanwhile she represented the Naval Academy in the development of the MOD English Language Training Strategy 2005 – 2010 .

- 2009 - Participation in the EU MARTEL Project for designing Maritime English tests as external evaluator, moderator and test items developer.

- 2010-2011 - Participation in the EU MARTEL Plus Project for creating maritime English standards for mariners and evaluating their oral competency as member of the Bulgarian team.

- 2010 ã. – Varna award for developing a Learner’s Maritime English - Bulgarian Dictionary.

She has also taken part in a commission on updating the dual-purpose goods law (2002) as well as contributed to “ Bulgaria’s Accession in NATO” committee for realigning educational resources in English. Member of Maritime English State and Semester exam boards for deck and navy officers. Holds a Marine Instructor and Assessor Certificate as per STCW 95.
